The Velocity Difference

Founded in 2006, Velocity Dance Works is a performance-based dance school dedicated to teaching dance as a true art form. Our mission is to help students dance from their soul, not just their sole.

We believe every dancer has something unique to offer. That’s why we focus on bringing out the best in each student, regardless of experience or ability, through a creative, thoughtful, and supportive teaching style.

When we opened Velocity, we chose a path less traveled: a dance school with no competition team. This wasn’t an accident, it was a commitment.

We pour all our energy into the dancers who choose to train here, not for trophies, but for growth, expression, and artistry. That makes us different from the typical “recreation” track found at many competition schools. Our dancers aren’t on the sideline, they are the focus.

We wanted to build something deeper.  A program where technical training could thrive without the pressure of judges' scores. A place where students could develop strength, discipline, and passion while still dancing from the heart.

Our classes range from technically focused instruction for students who are serious about developing their craft, to choreography-based classes designed for those who simply want to move, create, and have fun.
